Our peer tutoring program is a course-specific service providing support in course material at your convenience. Every peer tutor has been through a rigorous approval process, which includes an application, verification that they have achieved a 75% or higher in the courses they would like to tutor, as well as a multi-step training process. If we don’t have a tutor for a course, we will do our best to recruit.

We are always looking for knowledgeable tutors who have attained a course score of 75% or higher in the course they would like to tutor. Many tutors choose to tutor in several courses. As a paid tutor you can gain valuable teaching experience with a schedule you set based on your own availability.

Academic Integrity Resources for Students

The International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) is a student volunteer program connecting international students with current Nipissing University students. The group provides international students with social activities, such as trips to Ottawa and Toronto, camping, skating in a provincial park and international potlucks throughout their time at Nipissing. This program also trains its mentors to connect international students with personal and academic supports available to them at the University.

Annually, 25 full-time students are recognized with a Dave Marshall Leadership Award. These students have made an outstanding extracurricular contribution to their academic program, to the campus, or to the greater community. They have demonstrated leadership, initiative, commitment, and an ability to motivate and influence others toward the betterment of Nipissing University.
