Nominations open for 2026 Dave Marshall Leadership Awards

Each year, Nipissing University proudly recognizes 25 students who demonstrate exceptional leadership through their outstanding extracurricular contributions to their academic program, their campus, or broader community. Beyond leadership, recipients of the Dave Marshall Leadership Award exemplify initiative, commitment, and the ability to motivate and influence others toward the betterment of Nipissing University.

This prestigious, non-monetary award is named in recognition of the dedication and leadership demonstrated by Dr. Dave Marshall during his 18 years of consecutive service as the Dean of Education and President and Vice-Chancellor of Nipissing University. Dr. Marshall’s tenure at Nipissing University reflects his commitment to higher education, vision for the future, and leadership in external community service.

The Dave Marshall Leadership Awards are presented to students noted for their exceptional leadership in three categories: Academic, Campus, and Community.
