Wildlife Ecology and Environmental Science Lab
In our lab: we assess the health and vitality of wildlife species such as wolves, loons, martens, fishers, salamanders, and frogs; we delve into factors that may be affecting wildlife, such as pollutants, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, car collisions, and climate change; we work with partners such as the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, and the Fur Harvesters’ Auction, to investigate wildlife issues; and we produce a textbook on Environmental Science, every 3 years, that is used at Canadian Universities from coast to coast. - page

Nipissing University Student Alumni (NUSA) are student volunteers who offer programs and services to promote alumni relations, school loyalty and enrich university life. The Summer Indigenous Institute is a two-week transition program for Indigenous students entering university. Launched in July 2019, the program is offered to students who have been accepted to Algoma University, Lakehead University, Laurentian University, and Nipissing University. - page

In conjunction with the Schulich School of Education, we also offer Additional Basic Qualifications (ABQs) as well as Honour Specialist courses. Nipissing's teacher education programs have been in existence since 1909 and have an excellent reputation. - page
