As 2023 comes to a close, I wanted to share a moment of gratitude and a humble thank you for your continued engagement with the University. Here at Nipissing, we have a lot to be proud of, and we couldn’t do the work we do without the engagement of our incredible community. 2023 presented us with many reasons to connect, and we look forward to continuing the conversation in 2024 and beyond.

Canadore College and Nipissing University invite the community to the Witness Blanket Exhibit from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) which will be housed in The Village at the Education Centre Campus beginning Monday, January 22 until Friday, February 16. Community members are welcome to view the exhibit from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Jason Bramburger graduated from Nipissing University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science.

Jason Maitland’s interest in sustainability has grown throughout the years and the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the climate emergency have brought the impact of human actions into sharp focus. Currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Studies at Nipissing University, Jason recently travelled to Lapland, Finland, as part of a field course where he spent a week in Pyhä-Luosto National Park with other graduate students exploring the potential need to rethink how we communicate tourism in the era of climate emergency and in the aftermath of the COVID19 pandemic, specifically when it comes to engaging with northern, nature-based tourism destinations.
