Your Final Countdown to Becoming a Laker
The countdown is on. Classes at Nipissing University start in just a few short weeks! Whether you’re moving into residence, commuting locally, or joining us from across the country, now’s the time to get organized so your first days on campus are stress-free and memorable. We’ve compiled some highlights to include on your final prep checklist for a strong start as a Laker.
Finalize Your Housing Plans
Whether you’re living in residence or off-campus locally, make sure you’ve reviewed your move-in details and marked the date in your calendar. Double-check what’s provided in your space so you can pack strategically. Reach out to the NU Residence team via email at residence@nipissingu.ca, or your new landlord, with any questions and confirm your move-in day details.
For folks coming from outside of North Bay, consider mapping your travel route – Northern Ontario has many amazing places to visit that may be on the way to NU from where you’re coming from. Once you’ve arrived in North Bay, give yourself some time to research parking options or bus schedules the week before classes start.
Pro Tip: Leave a few drawers empty when you’re unpacking – you’ll buy more stuff than you think.
