Nipissing University to celebrate launch of new strategic plan

North Bay, ON – Nipissing University invites members of the community to join in celebrating the official launch of its new strategic plan entitled, “Pathways: Our Commitments to Water, Land, and People for the Next Seven Generations at Nipissing University”, taking place on Tuesday, September 19 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Fedeli Room (F210) at Nipissing University (100 College Drive, North Bay, ON).

Nipissing University began its strategic planning process in November 2022 and formed a steering committee to lead the process and that was reflective of the diversity of the University community and the breadth of work Nipissing pursues today and into the future. The Strategic Planning Steering Committee undertook numerous in-person and virtual engagements to solicit feedback from the campus and regional communities.

To build a respectful foundation for Nipissing’s future, the Strategic Planning Committee collaborated with the Nipissing University Indigenous Council on Education (NUICE) in the spirit of a Treaty relationship. NUICE is an advisory body and resource for Nipissing University and is comprised of representatives from various Indigenous communities.

The new plan will underscore the importance of what makes Nipissing University unique while welcoming change that will help sustain the University for not only five years, but seven generations in the future.
