About
With a background in queer theory, gender studies, and gothic literary history, I have published on popular culture representations of vampires through the lens of sex, gender, and sexuality. One of my original contributions to the field through my dissertation was archival research on Count Eric Stenbock (1860-1895). Since 1997, I have also presented and published on pedagogy in cultural studies and gender studies contexts, and on conceptual critiques of teaching development as a field of practice. I have co-edited journal issues in the latter area, and continue to practice educational development with TAs, faculty, and instructional staff as a consultant and facilitator in my Director role here at Nipissing University.
