Randy Sawyer has a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University. He is currently a professor in the Social Service Worker program at Canadore College. He worked for many years at the North Bay Indian Friendship Centre and served as a Band Councillor for Nipissing Indian Band of Ojibways #10. He has been a guest speaker, lecturer, workshop leader, and storyteller at numerous community functions. He has taught courses in the Social Welfare and Social Development program for over 15 years.
