About
Jennifer is passionate about teaching and learning and has been a nurse educator in clinical and academic settings since 2007. In addition to more than 11 years of paediatric emergency nursing experience, Jennifer also possesses extensive classroom and online teaching experience, and is committed to student success by creating a collaborative and student-focused learning community. Jennifer enjoys challenging students to critically appraise their experiences as leaders in the nursing profession and encourages them to frequently reflect on their experiences in an effort to motivate and inspire them to achieve their personal and professional goals. Jennifer also enjoys participating in curriculum development activities. Her specialized knowledge and passion for paediatric nursing has enabled her to revise and develop several courses for a paediatric nursing certificate program at Mohawk College. Jennifer has earned a diploma in nursing from Fanshawe College, a BScN from Ryerson University, and a Master of Nursing (with Teaching Focus) from Athabasca University.
