Guidelines or Expectations for Prospective Students

I currently have openings in my research group for Undergraduate Research Assistant and Master’s student (with financial support) in the field of computational photonics/ biophotonics. If you are interested in any of the current projects in the field, you are always welcome to inquire about possible research opportunities. Each project covers a wide spectrum of science and technology; therefore, your level of interest is crucial in determining how much you can contribute, especially if you have a background in physics, computer science, and mathematics. The research projects will allow you to develop skills in computational modeling and optimization, as well as practical ability, initiative, and teamwork. In general, most of the projects involve developing numerical methods to solve a 3D fully coupled differential equation system for nano-sized structures.
