Research Interests

  • Building full-spectrum psychological measurement scales, e.g., elation-depression, happiness-sadness

Current Research Projects / Labs

  • Modifying the BDI-II to BDI-2R where three positive-scenario options were added to each item of the BDI-II to create the BDI-2R, a full-spectrum scale measuring the elation-depression continuum. It has been shown that the BDI-2R is more accurate than the BDI-II in measuring depression, and furthermore, the infamous attenuation effect in re-administration of the BDI-II does not show up in the BDI-2R when it is re-administered 2 weeks later.
