Indigenous Foundations Program
Orientation for the Indigenous Foundations Program (IFP) is essential to starting your year off in a good way. It is an opportunity for IFP students to get acquainted with their peers and on-campus support network. Course registration information will be sent to students directly.
New Student Orientation (NSO)
We are working diligently to welcome you to your Lakers family in the summer. New Student Orientation (NSO) 2024 will be a hybrid program with online learning modules beginning Tuesday, July 2nd, in addition to in-person opportunities on Thursday July 4th, and Friday, July 5th on campus. In the meantime, please read through the information on the NSO website, the website will be continue to be updated until all details are posted.
NSO for Supporters
Nipissing University’s NSO offers a unique programming stream just for supporters (parents, guardians, siblings, partners, etc.) to assist them in supporting their students’ transition to Nipissing University. If you require academic accommodations for a disability, please follow the above link for the self-identification form. Upon receiving your self-identification form, Student Accessibility Services will contact you to begin the intake process. Early identification is preferable, when possible.
NUSU
The Nipissing University Student Union (NUSU) represents all students attending Nipissing University. NUSU is in charge of the health and dental plan, fun-filled Orientation Week, student clubs, student food bank, and much more.
