Nipissing University makes ongoing offers of admission starting as early as January rather than making admission decisions in separate rounds. We continue to make offers of admission through to June when midterm/interim and final grades are received from the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC).
January 15, 2026
Deadline to Apply
Ontario secondary school students are expected to submit application forms to the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) by this date.
December – May
Check your mailbox! Offers of Admission are made during this period. Offers of admissions are made on a rolling basis as grade information is received with most decisions being released within the following admission rounds.
- Round #1 - Beginning of December (A limited number of offers to limited enrollment programs (BPHE, Nursing, and OMAH) will be released at this time)
- Round #2 - Beginning of March (Offers to limited enrollment programs for applicants who applied by the equal consideration deadline will start being released.)
- Round #3 - Beginning of May
A final round will take place at the end of July provided room remains in the program applicants have applied to.
All offers will be conditional on:
- Completion of your Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent;
- Completion of six 4U/4M courses or equivalent, including prerequisites;
- Minimum final average of 70% for all programs except History with an Orientation to a Master of Arts in History (80%). Final averages are calculated using the best six final 4U/4M grades, including program prerequisites.
February 16, 2026
Equal Consideration Deadline for Limited Enrollment Programs
Applications to Nursing, Physical and Health Education and History with an Orientation to a Master of Arts in History are highly competitive programs that typically have more qualified applicants than space available.
Applicants who apply by this deadline and are registered in six 4U/4M courses, including prerequisites by February 27 will receive equal consideration for admission with all other applicants.
Missed the deadline?
Programs may continue to accept applications after this date. Qualified applicants will continue to be considered for admission provided room remains in the program, otherwise a position on the waiting list may be offered.
