Continuing Education and Community Engagement Coordinator
Full-Time Support Staff
Reporting to the Manager, Digital Learning Strategy and Support, the Continuing Education and Community Engagement Coordinator coordinates the development, delivery, promotion, and day-to-day operations of Nipissing University’s non-credit courses and extended learning offerings. The role focuses on community-engaged programming, including adult learning, senior learning, youth programs, workforce development, continuing studies, high school transition programs, and micro-credentials, and supports other Extended Learning functions as required.
The coordinator ensures that processes, policies, and technologies align with the vision of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and support learners’ lifelong educational needs. Working with the Manager and other Centre staff, the coordinator builds and maintains relationships with community partners to develop programming that responds to regional needs and strengthens Nipissing University’s reputation.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree and two (2) to three (3) years of experience supporting community-based programs, continuing studies, extension programs, adult education, or a related field. A Bachelor of Education or a degree in a related field, such as curriculum design or human development, is considered an asset, particularly when the program includes a focus on extended, continuing, or professional learning.
This position is classified as Wage Grade 60, with a wage range from $28.70 per hour (Step 1) to $36.34 per hour (Step 9). Placement within the salary range will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity and market conditions.
