About
Annie is a Registered Social Worker with 20+ years' experience in the field of child welfare, psychiatry, clinical therapy, hospital and home care. Annie completed a MSW while working in a psychiatric hospital. Her thesis is an exploration of the medical model with a post modernistic perspective of mental illness. Annie has been working as a full time Social Worker with Home and Community Care Support Services NE since 2016, and occasionally provides Field Liaison support and Field Supervision opportunities to social work students at Nipissing University.

Research

From 2006 to 2021, Annie was a part-time senior instructor with Laurentian University, School of Social Work (French program) teaching core courses such as introduction to social work and theory, including a variety of elective courses examining essential areas of social work practice within the child welfare system and women`s social and economic conditions. Annie is teaching SWRK 2006 Foundations in Social Work.
