Funding Priorities

Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards

We are very grateful to our donors who support our Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards program. Together we know the importance of recognizing student achievement and assisting with financial need.

At Nipissing we work very hard to keep tuition fees as low as possible while providing a superior educational experience. However; we also understand that the financial burden on our students is very real.

At Nipissing, we aim to ensure access and opportunity for all students through merit- and needs-based student awards. Your investments help our students become effective and engaged global citizens.

Nipissing University Sports Field

The new artificial turf field is needed at Nipissing to assist with delivery of practical classes, varsity and intramural sports programs, as well as community youth sports, adult leagues and provincial championship tournaments.

The new field can be used in virtually any weather, rain or shine. Benefiting students and community members alike to learn, compete and have fun, it will be a vastly improved home for varsity soccer teams, lacrosse teams, and fans. Local youth sports and community adult leagues will also enjoy the facility. It will be integral to our health sciences academic programs, which include the Bachelor of Physical Health and Education, and Master of Science in Kinesiology programs.

This is not an enclosed facility. As per the OUA (Ontario University Athletics) regulations, it must be open to the air. The turf field itself will be cheaper to maintain in comparison to the grass field that was previously there.

Although the above areas are a priority at this time, please feel free to direct your support to another area such as library acquisitions, research, aboriginal initiatives, or a specific department or program.
