An Online Knowledge Exchange Event

Organized By The School of Social Work Nipissing University

Free admission.

This live virtual event follows on from last year's Knowledge Exchange, and is a part of public engagement activities of the Rare Dementia Support (RDS) Impact Study, a five-year study funded jointly by the UK Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC) and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

The event will feature an update on findings emerging from the Rare Dementia Support (RDS) Impact Study, presentations exploring the clinical symptoms and obtaining a diagnosis for three rare forms of dementia: posterior cortical atrophy (PCA), young onset Alzheimer's disease (YOAD) and Lewy body dementia (LBD). There will also be a presentation by YouQuest, an Alberta-based grassroots organization that provides rehabilitative support interventions for people living with young onset dementia.

Zoom link to be provided on registration.
