POSITION TITLE: Teaching Assistant – Social Welfare

RATE OF PAY: $15.00/hour plus Vacation Pay
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This teaching assistantship is designed for a M.A student or a senior undergraduate student to learn to assess first-year students’ short answer questions and offer qualitative feedback on annotated bibliographies, based on grading rubrics.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Receiving up to 5 hours of training, making recommendations on each answer of first-year students’ tests, looking up scholarly sources to confirm accuracy of students’ citations and summaries, offering some qualitative feedback on writing clearly and concisely.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must apply and be approved for the NUWORK Program
- Must have an academic record of GPA 80% in any social science discipline
