Applications are invited for the position of Associate Dean, Faculty of Education and Professional Studies in the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies at Nipissing University. The position will be filled internally. The appointment is for three years and will begin when filled. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline. The successful candidate must display evidence of successful teaching, research and scholarship and have at least three years of relevant administrative experience in various educational capacities. The Associate Dean will have an understanding of the current directions and priorities of the University and will serve as an advocate for the Education and Professional Studies.
Reporting to the Dean of Education and Professional Studies, the Associate Dean will support the Dean in providing the leadership within the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies; promoting the highest standards in University academic matters including curriculum development; upholding the university’s mission in supporting northern communities, and Indigenous, first generation, and international learners; fostering teaching, research and scholarship.
