Tuition and Fees (Term Breakdown):

Full-time and Flex-time students enrolled in a Masters program at Nipissing University will be charged tuition and fees for the Fall, Winter, and Spring/Summer terms based on their program option and route as follows:

Master of Arts in History (MRP):  charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration

Flex-time (MRP): charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration, charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms.  

Master of Arts in Sociology (MRP):  charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration

Flex-time (MRP): charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration, charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms. 

(Thesis):  charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration

Flex-time (Thesis): charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration, charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms. 

Master of Science in Mathematics (MRP):  charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration

(Thesis):  charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration

Flex-time (Thesis): charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration, charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms. 

Master of Kinesiology:  charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration

Flex-time (Thesis): charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration, charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms. 

Master of Environmental Science/Master of Environmental Studies:

(MRP):  charged full-time fees for the first three (3) terms of registration

(Thesis):  charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration

Flex-time (Thesis): charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration, charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms. 

Master of Education  (Course): charged full-time fees for the first (6) terms of registration

(MRP):  charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration 

(Thesis):  charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration

Flex-time (Course/MRP/Thesis): charged full-time fees for the first six (6) terms of registration, charged student fees only for up to six (6) additional terms. 

Extension Fees:

Students who have not yet completed their Master program within the time-frame outlined above may apply for an extension and, if granted, will be charged the extension fee of $1000.00 plus ancillary fees per semester.

After Thesis Defense Completed: $500.00 Per Term (Flat Rate, no ancillary fees)

International Tuition:  $18,350.00 per Year + $720.00 UHIP + $1057.80 Ancillaries + $265.23 Student Insurance Plan** = $20,393.03

**Annual $265.48 Student Insurance Plan applies to all students once per year, normally due in the Fall semester

​​​​****An interest charge at the rate of 1.5% will be assessed monthly (19.56% effective annual rate) on all student accounts with balances outstanding after the relevant due date for fees incurred.  Interest will not be waived for late payments.****​​​​​​

Non-payment of fees may render a student ineligible for registration in future sessions. In addition, students who are in financial arrears to the university may face de-registration from future courses and will not be issued their transcripts of record, statement of standing, degree or related evidence of their academic progress until such time as their account is cleared.​
