Curriculum Development

This site is to assist all faculty in the early stages of the curriculum development process.

The Associate Registrar, Curriculum & Advising can assist with the following:

  • Providing guidance to departments making changes to existing curriculum, creating new courses, new programs, etc.
  • Reviewing new course submissions requests, as well as all course changes
  • Providing ongoing support to departments with respect to interpretation and administration of curriculum and academic policy

The Calendar year runs from May 1 to April 30 and begins with the Spring/Summer sessions. All programs being changed will be effective beginning Spring Session.

In order for changes to be reflected in the 2018/2019 Academic Calendar, proposals must be submitted by Faculty Council Executive, to the USC Secretary by November 29, 2018.**

Please note that all appropriate forms must be completed before submission to ARCC committees or Faculty Executives. Incomplete forms may result in a delay in material being heard at USC.

Senate Motion(October 2014)**

That for the purposes of publishing the University's Academic calendar, Senate approve that the Undergraduate Studies Committee (USC) will not accept program changes for the upcoming academic year after the last scheduled USC meeting in December. Any submissions to USC after that meeting date will not take effect until the following Academic Year.
