Welcome to the School of Nursing at Nipissing University

We offer the following Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programs

Do you want a career that is both challenging and rewarding? If you really want to make a difference in people’s lives and are interested in combining science and technology with a compassionate human touch, then consider a career in nursing. Nurses are at the centre of health care delivery in key transition points. Nurses also excel in leadership and administrative roles that incorporate research, management, and education.

Best Practice Spotlight Organizations (BPSO)

Best Practice Spotlight Organizations (BPSOs) are health-care and academic organizations selected by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) to implement and evaluate the RNAO's best practice guidelines.

Students are responsible for all associated costs and expenses incurred for application to
or while enrolled within any Nursing program.

These may include, but are not limited to, the following: BCLS-HCP CPR certification, criminal reference check/vulnerable sector screening clearance, mask-fit testing, required lab/practicum equipment and/or supplies, licensure preparatory requirements, transportation to and from any theoretical and/or practicum course placement, etc.

"I am writing to offer a note of thanks to you and your nursing program.

In November 2015 I gave birth to my baby daughter at the Almonte General Hospital. During the difficult labor I was lucky enough to be attended by a lovely young nurse from your school. Her name was Michelle and she was knowledgeable, patient and kind. Everything that you would hope for in a nurse. She was a testament to your program and a wonderful ambassador for Nipissing University."
