NU hosting Sport Nutrition workshop

Nipissing University and the Schulich School of Education welcome Jennifer Sygo, M Sc, RD for a workshop on nutrition for prevention and performance on Wednesday, September 23, from 7 – 9 p.m. in F213.

The workshop, titled Making the Most of Your Performance: Sport Nutrition will cover topics like understanding how to fuel yourself before, during and after workouts; making sense of nutrition fads and trends, including gluten-free eating; and top nutritional tips form the pros to take your performance to the next level.

Sygo is a sports nutritionist, dietitian, writer, author, and professional speaker specializing in prevention and performance.

She is the team dietitian for the Toronto Maple Leafs and nutritional consultant for the Toronto Raptors. She’s also team dietitian for Athletics Canada's sprint and relay team in Toronto, as well as Gymnastics Canada and Triathlon Canada. In addition, Sygo is a nutrition columnist featured weekly in the National Post and is the author of the best selling Unmasking Superfoods.

Sygo works with athletes and active individuals of all levels, ranging from weekend warriors and adult athletes to national, Olympic, and Paralympic team members in a wide range of sports.
