 New to e-learning?

Many students wonder whether taking online courses is for them. There are many advantages to completing courses in this environment: flexible hours in completing course work, interactive discussion boards, and chat rooms that allow you to correspond with educators across the province and beyond. In doing so, students are able to develop a much broader awareness of issues and practices in education on a provincial, national, and global scale.

Blackboard Learn is an easy-to-use, interactive browser-based course environment that does not require users have high-end systems or install strange, potentially conflict-causing software. This exciting technology allows you to communicate with your professors and peers, as well as complete and submit work online, from any computer with an Internet connection.

Students do not require prior experience participating in online discussions or chat rooms to complete a Blackboard course successfully. This User's Guide will show you the basics for getting started.
