NOTE: These questions pertain specifically to Additional Qualifications (AQ) courses offered by the Schulich School of Education's In-Service Department. Questions concerning courses offered by the Continuing Education are addressed here.

I've registered for my course, when do I/why can't I log in?

When you register for a course online, you do so using Nipissing University's WebAdvisor system but this does not give you instant access. Course rosters are uploaded to the Blackboard LMS just before the course start date.

I wasn't asked to pay. How do I?

If you were not prompted to pay, please contact the Finance Office (1-800-655-5154 Ext. 5 or 1-705-474-3450/3461 Ext. 4419) directly.

I may have paid for my course more than once. What do I do?

If you suspect this may have happened, please contact the Finance Office (1-800-655-5154 Ext. 5 or 1-705-474-3450/3461 Ext. 4419) directly.

What if I can't remember my Nipissing ID number?

Please go to myNipissing and select What's my User ID? in the Sign In area. If this utility still does not help, you must contact University Technology Services (1-705-474-3450/3461 Ext. 4342).

myNipissingu/WebAdvisor won't recognize my old student ID number.

If you are a former Nipissing student and you've been unable to online register with the student ID number you had then, please contact the Registrar's Office (1-800-655-5154 Ext. 1 or 705-474-3450/3461 Ext. 4521). You should indicate that you are returning student and need to know your new Nipissing student ID number.

When are recommendations sent to OCT?

Recommendations for a session are sent as a file 4 to 6 weeks after the course end date. Individual transcripts are automatically forwarded from the Registrar's Office at the same time.

Do all online AQ courses have practicums?

No, they do not. You can contact the In-Service Office (1-800-655-5154 x. 4 or 705-474-3450/3461 Ext. 4259) to find out if a course has a practicum component.

Has my Statement of Experience Form been received?

To determine this, please check with the Registrar's Office (1-800-655-5154 Ext. 1 or 705-474-3450/3461 Ext. 4521) directly.

Why do I have two courses in my list when I signed up for only one ABQ course?

The Intermediate and Senior ABQ courses are organized differently than our 3-part AQ courses. They are each divided into two halves (the 'core' and 'elective') with a different instructor for each half. Think of them as two components of the same course. You are responsible for completing the work within both components - core (EDUC-4626 or 4636) AND the elective (the course you officially registered for).
