Course Organization
The Course Home Page
Our AQ courses are based on a common template. Please feel free to explore all of the sections as soon as you are able to log in.
Read First!
Please don't skip over the Read First! page It provides information regarding how to name the assignment files you will be submitting.
Course Information
Course Information is divided into two distinct sections. General In-Service Information provides links to the policies, procedures and expectations common to all Nipissing University AQ courses. Course Specific Information provides a general overview of the expectations and content of the course itself.
Course Content
This sections contains the course's detailed modules.
Course Assignments
This section contains links to the complete assignment pages.
Online Resources
Any link within a content page that refers to an external resource outside the course leads back to the Online Resources page. Grouping all external resource links on one page makes it easier to keep the URLs up-to-date.
Tests and Quizzes
All courses have a small quiz that tests how well you remember the rules concerning the proper naming of assignment files. However, some courses also have assignment quizzes built in and they are found in this section.
The Class Chat
The Class Chat is available to all In-Service courses, but using it is strictly voluntary. Some candidates have found it useful for collaborating 'live' with classmates on topics or assignments. Instructors have also used it as a way of creating online 'office hours' so that candidates can consult and ask questions without having to wait for a reply via Discussions or Mail.
NOTE: In order to use the chat feature, a computer system must have the Java Virtual Machine installed.
