The next intake for this Program is Summer 2011.

This Program consists of two parts: two consecutive summer sessions at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario, and two in-school internships with a qualified teacher, in a classroom setting, during the school year.

The procedure to apply for the Program can be found below.

  1. Complete the application form, available from the Office of Registrar.
  2. Send the following to the Office of the Registrar:
  • Completed application form
  • Transcripts from post-secondary programs (Part 1 applicants only)
  • Secondary School transcripts (Part 1 applicants only)
  • One letter of reference  (Part 1 applicants only)
  • A one-page statement outlining why you wish to be a teacher (Part 1 applicants only)
  • Include a $50 non-refundable application fee made payable to Nipissing University (this will be applied toward your tuition fee).

 

Note: Applications received after May 1 will only be considered if there are places available. Apply early, as places are limited.

Before being accepted into EDUC 4664: Observation and Practice Teaching (P/J), you must provide official documentation of a recent criminal reference check.

     3. If you are applying for residence, you can download the residence application and fax it to (705) 495-1772. Details of the Governor's House residence

         complex can be found on the residence information sheet.
