Suggested deadline for Ontario secondary school students to submit completed applications to the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC).
February - June

Offers of Admission made on a rolling basis as grades are received from the OUAC and admission criteria for the program applied to have been met.                

Decisions for programs that require the submission of a supplemental application will be made on a rolling basis beginning in April.
March 15, 17, 19

Nipissing Up Close March Break Open House. This is your chance to visit Nipissing University. The March Break UpClose runs from 11:00 am – 4:30 pm each day. Please register by e-mailing nuinfo@nipissingu.ca or calling (705) 474-3461 ext. 4517.
May 1 Deadline for entrance bursary and award applications. Forms can be found at our Financial Aid Office .
May 1 Admission application deadline for students wishing to be eligible for entrance scholarships. Your application to Nipissing University must be received by the OUAC on this date. Entrance scholarships are guaranteed to all secondary school students with a minimum overall average of 80% or above on their best 6 FINAL 4U/4M grades completed as of June 30, 2010.

Date by which all secondary school applicants shall expect one of three responses from Nipissing University:

  1. An Offer of Admission
  2. A refusal
  3. A deferral pending the receipt of specific additional information.
May 25

Date by which applicants must receive a full-time Offer of Admission from Nipissing University in order to be eligible for guaranteed residence.
May 28 Admission Response Deadline. Responses are made online at the OUAC Web site.

June 1  

Deadline for residence application and deposit. The application and deposit must be received by this date in order for students to be guaranteed residence.

Registration package mailed.
July

New Student Orientation (NSO). Information about NSO will be sent to you in June. At NSO you’ll be introduced to other first year students as well as the professors and academic advisors who will help you make course selections. It’s also a good time to tour the campus and have your questions answered.
August

Residence room assignments will be mailed.
