Counselling and Disability Services
Nipissing University offers support for students with special needs in the Counselling and Disabilities Services unit. The Counselling and Disabilities Services unit is located in A201.
Students who have a learning disability should contact Mike Walker, extension 4333, in office A201G.
Students who have any other disability should contact Daralynn D’Angelo, extension 4235, in office A201H.
Daralynn and Mike can assist students with accommodations they may need in order to be more successful in their courses. In order to qualify for disability services at Nipissing University, you must provide supporting documentation about your disability to Disabilities Services.
Students who are identified as having a disability at Nipissing University may receive accommodations for examinations. Arrangements for these accommodations must be made through our Counselling and Disabilities Services.
If you need assistance with written assignments, there is a Writing Drop-In Centre located in A201F. Georgia Irwin is the Academic Skills Program Co-ordinator and she may be reached at extension 4559.
Personal and career counselling is also available through Counselling and Disabilities Services, call extension 4362.
