Entrance Bursaries & Awards
There are only three applications that need to be completed by high school students entering Nipissing University to be considered for all of our entrance awards and bursaries. See the list below for a general description of these awards.

The deadline for applications is May 1.  Conditional offers of awards will be sent out before May 30.  You do not need to wait for an offer of admission to apply for these awards.

Please note that these awards are only available to Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada.  Visit the International Student Funding section for information on funding for non-Canadian citizens.

Schulich Entrance Scholarship

Entering the first year of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Math or Computer Science program with Concurrent BEd or with Orientation to Teaching (OTT); 75% average; community volunteerism; financial need.

Chancellor's Awards
85% average; personal leadership activities; significant citizenship contributions to community or family; financial need.
2 awards @ $10,000 first year; renewable at $3,000/yr

Graduate of a North Bay high school; entering business program; extracurricular involvement; financial need

80% average; preference to child/spouse of corporate employee of Mac's Convenience Inc.; preference to student entering business or computer science programs

Nipissing University assumes liability for the payment of scholarships, bursaries and other awards only to the extent that expected gifts from donors or returns from particular investments of endowed funds are realized. The University reserves the right to make whatever changes circumstances may require, including the amendment of monetary value, selection criteria and the cancellation of particular awards. Information on the current status of any of these, or any additional awards submitted after the time of publication, may be obtained by contacting the Financial Aid Office. Students who feel that their individual circumstances are not being fairly considered when determining eligibility for the aforementioned scholarships, bursaries and awards have the right to submit a written appeal explaining their circumstances to the Student Affairs Committee.
