E-Stat

Introduction

This web site is intended for post-secondary and secondary teachers who are interested in learning and using Statistics Canada (STC) programs (computer based as well as paper) in their course work. STC publishes a good number of programs and print materials that can be used at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels. This web site is concentrating on computer based programs like E-STAT (CD-ROM & web site), Canada Yearbook (CD-ROM), and the print journal Canadian Social Trends. As the site develops, further additions to this list of STC materials will be made.

Most of the material on this site has been constructed in a self-paced and skill sequenced fashion so that learners / users may download relevant materials and work at various STC programs at their own pace.

Users of the site are encouraged to send self-paced materials / lesson plans of similar nature to the site in order that there be a wider dissemination of relevant / useful teaching tools for those instructors interested in learners engaging in data about Canadians.
