Welcome to EDUC 4308 - Junior/Intermediate Visual Arts!

The purpose of this course is to help you feel comfortable teaching visual arts to students in grades 4 through 10. You will learn survival skills in drawing, design, painting, sculpture, printmaking, art history and criticism, and tips on what works and what doesn't for teaching art at this level. Even experienced artists will learn new skills, especially how to break down techniques in order to teach them effectively. This course is practical with emphasis on studio workshops and will be augmented with theory in the form of additional art education resources which can be found in the course textbook and on my web site.
