- Marc Chenier Memorial Awards (Nipissing University Award) Value: $600
Presented to two deserving students in good academic standing, taking three or more courses, who are in one of the following categories:
1) a special needs student who has shown persistence and courage in pursuing his/her studies;
2) a student who is aiding a special needs person on campus or in the community;
3) a student who heightens awareness of special needs on campus or in the community.
The final decision is made by the Student Affairs Committee. Candidates must be recommended to the Financial Aid Office by October 15.
- Aird Scholarship
For full-time students with physical disabilities entering their first year of studies. Two awards of $2,500 each are distributed annually. The deadline for applying is April 25, 2008.

- Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf Scholarship Awards
Vary in amounts from $500 to $1,000. These scholarships are open to students who were born with a profound or severe hearing impairment, or those who have lost their hearing before acquiring language skills. Students must request an application in writing before December 1 of the year previous to the one in which they intend to study. Completed applications must be in by April 1.

- Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) Scholarship Program
The purpose of the CHHA Scholarship Program is to offer financial assistance and recognition to hard of hearing and deafened students registered in a full time program at a recognized Canadian college or university, in any area of study, with the ultimate goal of obtaining a diploma or degree. Three awards will be granted; the CHHA Scholarship, the Frank Algar Memorial Scholarship, and the Charles A. Laszlo Scholarship.

AUCC Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities
The objective of this scholarship program is to encourage Canadian students with disabilities interested in obtaining a first university degree, to pursue university studies. Up to ten (10) scholarships valued at $5,000 CDN will be awarded this year. .

Bursaries and Summer Employment Program for Students with Physical or Sensory Disabilities. Under the Program, the Bank awards two $5,000 bursaries together with a paid 12-week summer job for university students and one $2,500 bursary together with a paid 10-week summer job for CEGEP students.
- NEADS Equity Through Education Scholarships & Awards - Deadline December 17, 2009
This project, which was launched in the spring of 2006, creates equitable opportunities for post-secondary students with disabilities by offering funding to eligible students and campus groups. Up to 20 outstanding applicants, who meet the criteria of the program, will be receiving an award in the amount of $3,000 to support the costs of their tuition and student fees.
