The security for the University is performed by the Education Centre security personnel and is the responsibility of the Director of Physical Resources.
The University will be open from:
Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
(except for approved special events and for the summer period)
On Sundays, the general public will be discouraged from using the building but it will be open for staff and student purposes.
The security personnel have the authority to inspect any packages leaving the University and to request authorization forms for removal of University equipment.
All of the fire hose cabinets in the University have been fitted with automatic alarm systems. When the cabinet door is opened, a high frequency continuous alarm will sound. If this high frequency alarm is heard, it should be reported to the security office which in turn will report it to the Supervisor of Plant Facilities Office for re-setting.
