General FAQ

I've registered for my course, why can't I log into Blackboard?

When you register for a course online using Nipissing University's WebAdvisor system it does not give you instant access to the Blackboard course shell. Students are enrolled in their Blackboard course shell roughly 48 hours before the official course start date and are updated twice daily after that.

I wasn't asked to pay. How do I?

If you were not prompted to pay, please contact the Finance Office by email at finance@nipissingu.ca or by phone 1-800-655-5154 opt. 5 or 1-705-474-3450 ext. 4419.

I may have paid for my course more than once. What do I do?

If you suspect this may have happened, please contact the Finance Office by email at finance@nipissingu.ca or by phone 1-800-655-5154 opt. 5 or 1-705-474-3450 ext. 4419.

What if I can't remember my Nipissing ID number?

Please go to myNipissing and select “What's my User ID?” in the Sign In area. If this utility still does not help, try this helpful information regarding your credentials​. If you continue to have difficulties, please contact the University Technology Services (UTS) team (1-705-474-3450 ext. 4342).

myNipissingu/WebAdvisor won't recognize my old student ID number.

If you are a former Nipissing student and you've been unable to online register with the student ID number you had then, please contact the Registrar's Office (1-800-655-5154 opt. 1 or 705-474-3450 ext. 4521). You should indicate that you are returning student and need to know your new Nipissing student ID number.
