Apple Service Centre

The Apple Service Centre provides onsite service for all Apple computers (iMac, MacBook Air/Pro, MacMini). Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians (ACMT) are available to service both warranty and non warranty systems. The technicians will work closely with clients for problem diagnosis and resolution. Our convenient location and fast turnaround times minimize any downtime for faculty and students. 

Audio Visual Equipment

Faculty, Staff and Students have the opportunity to borrow a wide variety of audio visual equipment. Faculty, Staff and Students are able to sign out various equipment including: MacBooks, iPads, VGA adapters, laptop remotes, document cameras, SMART response kit, digital cameras, camcorders, etc. Technicians are available to assist with equipment selection and use. 

Classroom Support

Classroom technology support is available to all faculty and staff. Our full-time audio visual technician and several student assistants distribute audio visual equipment; provide technology and audio visual assistance in classrooms and meeting rooms from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. most evenings during the academic year (September-April). Faculty and staff are encouraged to see the audio visual specialists for demonstrations and personal instruction of audio visual equipment prior to the commencement of classes or events/meetings. Computer Labs 

There are four computer labs of various sizes available daily for class and student use. These labs are located in A120, A126, A128 and A130. A wide variety of Windows and Mac course related software is available on these systems. Print stations are located in A120, A126, and A139. ​

Online Printing

By going to printeron.nipissingu.ca, students have the ability to print documents from their mobile devices  and personal computer wirelessly to the Harris Learning Library, the Computer Labs in A120, A126 or to Technology Services in A139. Black and white printing is provided at a rate of $0.10/page. Colour print requests can also be sent from the labs in A120 and A126 to A139 at a rate of $0.50/page. Troubleshooting/Maintenance

Technology Services is happy to assist the University community with login issues, GMail, WebAdvisor, Hardware/software solutions, network connectivity, etc. 

Videoconferencing

Technology Services high-end videoconferencing allows faculty and staff to communicate and collaborate live from separate locations. The technology supports video and audio communication. Nipissing has several videoconference equipped classrooms that allow for interactive distance teaching and learning. Videoconferencing brings Nipissing’s three campuses together for teaching and administrative purposes. 

All faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by Technology Services and discuss how the services outlined above can assist them with their daily work. It may be as simple as printing your faculty/staff card to setting up the audio visual equipment for your big event to solving the mystery of your computer frustrations, we are here to help!
