The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 provides a Veterans' Memorial Bursary valued at $500 to two students in their second year of study at Nipissing University on the basis of financial need and good academic standing. Preference is given to students who are war veterans or their dependants or who are ordinary or associate members of Branch 23 (or a dependant). Applications and more detailed information are available in the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office. Deadline to apply is October 15.

Toyota Canada Inc. and Earth Day Canada established the Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program to help cultivate and nurture environmental leadership. The Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program encourages and rewards graduating Canadian high school students who have distinguished themselves through environmental community service, extracurricular and volunteer activities, and academic excellence. 20 awards of $5000 each are granted annually, to be applied directly towards tuition, books, room and board (where applicable) or other educational expenses for the first year of post-secondary full-time studies in Canada.
The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario provides a number of scholarships, bursaries and awards to qualified students. Applications may be found on and downloaded from this website. The deadline for the majority of awards is April 30.
