Ph.D. in Educational Sustainability

Students: A minimum of 10 candidates will be selected as our first cohort for the July 2-27, 2012 summer residency at the North Bay campus.

Tuition: Tuitio​n will be set at $3,000 per term, for 12 terms + applicable ancillary fees (to be determined).

Dean's List: The top six selected applications (based on graduate level course average and application package upon entry) will receive a tuition scholarship of $3,000/term for up to 12 terms. 

Extra Funding: Candidates may apply for, and if approved, be assigned teaching work in the Continuing Education or applicable undergraduate program. All candidates are encouraged to apply for external Tri-Council funding (e.g., SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR) in each of their first three years of the program.

Faculty Research: If Nipissing Faculty have/obtain external funding, they may enhance student funding by offering them related Graduate Research Assistant work.

Conference Travel Funding: A dedicated fund for student travel grants will be established, to which candidates can apply each year.

Continuation Fee: There will be a continuation fee of $1,500 per term + ancillary fees to be paid following the first four years of the program. ​
