Crisis

Counsellors do not provide a 24 hours crisis service. However, time for emergency appointments is set aside each day. A student who is experiencing a crisis or urgently requests to meet with a Counsellor can usually do so on that same day. This ERA appointment is a time for Counsellors to assess risk factors associated with the students’ immediate circumstances and is not considered a regular counselling session.

In the case of an emergency outside of Counselling Services office hours, you may contact the Crisis Intervention Program at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.Crisis Intervention at the North Bay Regional Health Centre is available 24 hours/7 days a week.  Click here for the website.
