Books for Brook is a new literacy initiative established in memory of Brook Doseger, a 2016 graduate of Nipissing University’s Concurrent Bachelor of Education degree. Brook inspired many during her time here at Nipissing and across the globe. A favourite quote of Brook’s was “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” (Dr. Seuss), reminding us of her passion for literacy, travel and community – a passion that will continue to be cultivated and supported through this initiative.
Please check back to learn more about upcoming events.
On February, we invited the Nipissing University community to take part in International Book Giving Day this February 14th by helping support Books for Brook! We gathered donations of new and gently used children’s books (0-6 yrs) that we will share with young learners in the North Bay community. Click here to learn more.
