Digital External Job Postings

We are excited to announce our partnership with Magnet's WhoPlusYou platform. This innovative platform will allow employers, recruiters, and agencies to connect with our students and alumni in search for the ideal candidate. This service is free of charge and allows an immediate, individualized, and effective alternative to mainstream job posting processes. Employer Recruitment Sessions and Interview Facilities

External partners looking to book space, workshops, or interviews on our campus with the Nipissing University Laker community can contact our booking team by e-mail at meet@nipissingu.ca.

Employers and educators are expected to arrive before the scheduled start of their session.

Employers and educators are responsible for ordering their own catering.

Requests for the use of audio-visual equipment must be made at least one week ahead of time and not on the day of the event.

Employers and educators must be prepared to exit the room in which their event is scheduled, by the agreed upon ending time of the event.

Recruitment Policies and Disclaimer

Nipissing University maintains an open employer recruitment practice that aligns with current, acceptable national and provincial practices as outlined by the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE). The fact that Nipissing University permits an employer or organization to participate in such events and services does not constitute endorsement of that employer or organization.

Nipissing University reserves the right to ban or suspend an employer from participating in any of its events and/or services based on student complaints, behaviour or actions by the employer contrary to the employer guidelines, and for any reason deemed necessary by Nipissing University staff. It is not the role of the Nipissing University to monitor the recruiting practices of employers; however, if there is a complaint regarding an organization’s recruiting practices, the University will investigate.

Third Party Recruiters

Third party recruiters are defined as agencies, organizations, or individuals recruiting candidates for temporary, part-time, or full-time employment on behalf of others and not for their own needs. Placement agencies and employers who hire on behalf of privately owned schools, for teaching positions abroad, are considered third-party recruiters. In some case, third party recruiters charge students a fee for processing their applications. The Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE) provides guidelines for third-party recruiters to best meet the needs of students, employers and career educators.

Nipissing University requires third-party recruiters (agencies, organizations or individuals recruiting candidates for employment opportunities with other organizations) to identify their employer clients, so as to determine that the position listed is an actual opportunity and that it does not duplicate a position already listed with the University.

Employers That Charge a Fee

​Nipissing University requires any employers which charge a fee for their services (including training, police checks, start-up costs, application fees, membership fees etc.) to disclose their fees and clearly state them on any registrations (online system, event registrations, and recruitment session requests), as well as on any job postings.
