The Academic Skills Drop-In Centres are accessible to all Nipissing University students to provide a peer support network and resource. The Peer Educators who operate the centres bring a wealth of experience from a variety of departments. They are trained in helping students on a one-on-one basis with general academic skills such as study strategies, note-taking skills, time management strategies, and more. They are able to provide students with academic resources and referrals to other services.
Free peer-to-peer support is provided on a "first come, first served" basis during posted hours.
There are six Drop-in Centre locations on campus for your convenience. The locations and hours of each centre are as follows:
The Drop-In Centres are open during the fall and winter semesters. For the most up-to-date hours of operation, please refer to the schedules posted outside of each Drop-In Centre. You can also view these hours in our open calendar.
