Leaving Residence, Building Closure and Extended Stay Requests
As stated in the "Conditions of Accepting a Room in Residence" Contract, all residents must vacate their rooms within 24 hours following the date of their final examination, test or class as recorded by the Registrars' Office at the end of the term. The Residence Office and the Residence Dons will be collecting this information from each resident.
Residents requesting to stay beyond 24 hours following the date of their final examination test or class must submit a written letter to the Residence Life Supervisor. The letter must include your name, room number, date of last examination, test or class, requested date to stay, and the reason for the request. All requests will be acknowledged, however, not all requests received will be granted.
Garbage, Recycling and Unwanted Items
Please ensure that all garbage is removed from your room/suite prior to your Check Out. All items for recycling (e.g., cans, plastics, glass, newspaper, and cardboard) should be placed in the proper recycling containers.
End of Classes, Exams, Quiet Hours, and Guests
23 hour Quiet Hours begin approximately at the end of undergraduate classes and last the duration of the exams. Relaxed quiet hours will be observed daily from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. exact dates will be available in the "Holiday Closure Memo" given to every resident.
No overnight guests are permitted during the December exam period. Exceptions may be made, but requests must be made in writing to, and approved by, the Residence Life Supervisor in advance.
