Q: Do I need to register for summer accommodations before I go on my last placement?
A: Yes, you need to register by filling out a "student summer accommodation application" available at each residence office front desk. Applications must be filled out and handed in prior to laving for your practicum placement, with a room deposit


Q: When will I find out if I received a space to stay in residence?
A: Once you have applied for a summer residence you will receive a confirmation letter.


Q: Will I have to move/switch my apartment?
A: If you live in Governors House residence, yes you will have to move/switch your apartment. You will be moving down to Chancellors House. If you live in Chancellors House residence, yes you may have to move/switch you apartment. You may be required to move onto another floor in Chancellors House.


Q: Do I need to move my belongings out before I go on my practicum placement?
A: No. You do not need to move your belongings out before your practicum placement. You can leave your belongings in your suite/room until you come back from you placement.


Q: Will I have to switch to the new apartment when I come back from placement or before I leave for placement?
A: No, you will not be required to move/switch apartments until you arrive back from your practicum placement.


Q: When will I know my room assignment for the summer?
A: Upon arrival from your practicum placement you will be informed what room you will be assigned to.


Q: Can I request living with specific room mates?
A: Yes, please make sure that the roommate(s) you wish to share a suite with is clearly indicated on your "summer accommodations application student life survey." Please note that we will require each room mate to fill out this information on their student life survey as well indicating that they wish to share a suit with you as well.


Q: When do I need to pay for my summer accommodations?
A: You will be required to pay for your summer accommodations when you pick up your keys to your new room upon your return from placement.


Q: Will I be required to clean my current apartment before checking out?
A: Yes


Q: Will I be required to check-out of my old room?
A: Yes, you will need to book an appointment with the front desk staff to check you out; once you have moved you’re belonging out and cleaned your room/suit.
