RESIDENCE INFORMATION

Nipissing University is proud to offer many options when it comes to residence life. In addition to the options of living in a suite style residence or in a townhouse style residence, we also offer four Living Learning Communities (Connect, Mosaic, LEAD, Balance).

Living Learning Communities

If you are interested in living in one of the following Living Learning Communities, please indicate this on your application and we will forward you the LLC Application.

Connect – You will explore current world events and international perspectives, gain a greater awareness from embracing diversity and continue to develop as global citizens.  Community members will work together to create events to create environmental awareness with the goal of affecting a positive change on campus.

Balance – Promote a healthy lifestyle with the focus being placed on your physical, social and emotional well-being.

L.E.A.D. (Leaders Emerging through Active Development) – This community is for students who love to be involved in and are passionate about leadership, learning and motivating others.

Mosaic – Mosaic will be an outlet for your creative side and will connect students who have a strong interest in artistic expression and cultural awareness with students who have a passion for media and graphic design.

Other Community Options Available

A Single Gendered Community

All suites and townhouses are designated as either all male/all female but there will also be the option for a same gender section/floor within each complex.  A single gendered community offer will be dependant upon an adequate number of applicants indicating their interest in living in a single gendered community.

Alcohol Free Community

Nipissing University is pleased to be able to offer alcohol free community to those students who indicate this preference on their Residence profile questionnaire. As a designated alcohol-free community, the rule is straightforward: No alcohol may be consumed in or stored in your community at any time.
