All returning students who wish to reside in residence for the following academic school year will have to complete an online 'Returning Student Application' in the winter semester. These applications will be available online. Instructions on how and when to apply will be emailed to their Nipissing email account. The online application, along with the $400 residence deposit must be completed by March 5, 2012 in order to be considered for a space in residence through the lottery draw. All other residence applicants will be considered only after the first-year high school guaranteed applicants have been placed.
All students must complete the application and indicate their residence preference. Included in the online residence application, is a questionnaire that asks specific questions about your lifestyle, sleep, and study habits. Please answer these questions completely and honestly, as the information you provide will be used to match you with suitable roommates. Although Nipissing staff try to accommodate students' first choice, it may be necessary to place some students in their second or third choice of residence.
All residence applicants must be entering full-time studies. Applications received from students enrolled in part-time studies will only be considered if there are vacancies available after the guaranteed and general full-time applicants have been determined.
Our online application also allows you to request specific roommates. You can choose to request specific roommates by selecting the option entitled submit my application and go on to roommate selection at the end of the Confirm Application screen. You can then select one or a group of roommates you wish to live with. Please note that in order to add roommate selections you will need to know their first name and last six digits of their Nipissing student ID number.
