Muskoka NSO Days

All new undergraduate students admitted to the Muskoka Campus are required to attend their NSO Day schedule for Monday, July 25, 2011, at the Bracebridge Campus.  


Register for NSO

The NSO Program for the Muskoka Campus has been organized by admission status.  Please register for the NSO Program that reflects how you were admitted into Nipissing University.  


Special Accommodations Request

If you or your guest is a person with a disability and require assistive devices, services, or other accommodations to participate, please contact the New Student Orientation office, at 705.645.2921, ext: 4136 to discuss accommodations at least 5 days prior to the event. Large print format of the Orientation information is available upon request.


NSO SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS

Check-in for each NSO Day will begin at 9:00am, in the Front Foyer, at Nipissing University. On your NSO Day, you and your guests may pick up their information package and additional literature at this time.

Academic Advising, Course Registration
and Registration Confirmation

 
Courses registration requires a $200 tuition deposit before you are to register for courses. This may be paid at the main reception office.  You can pay by either cash or cheque or credit card.

You will also need to visit one of our Orientation Ambassadors at some point during the day to have your picture taken for your required Photo Identification Card.  Your Photo ID is necessary for access to library services, photocopying and to enter many Nipissing University social events.
  
For your convenience, we will have copies of the Off-Campus Housing list available. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to explore off-campus housing options in Bracebridge and to make arrangements for viewing. If you require a copy of the list in advance of the 25th of July, please e-mail us at muskoka@nipissingu.ca

Overnight Accommodations
We would like to welcome you and your guests to stay with us and experience “our home” during your visit. 

Re
sidence and Conference Services is offering accommodation in our new residence for students and guests attending an NSO Day. Not only is it convenient, it is a wonderful opportunity to experience first-hand our residence accommodations.
 
Our special NSO rate is $34.50 per person per night or $119.00 for four-persons per night, including taxes. Linens and towels are provided.
