Located within driving distance of Orillia and Barrie, programs include Child and Family Studies, Culture and the Arts, Liberal Arts and teaching options.
Earn a BA (Honours) in Contemporary Studies from Laurier and a BEd from Nipissing as well as practice teach in the Public or Catholic schools near Brantford.
NOTE: Tuition fee subsidy does not apply to AQ, ABQ, ABED, Masters Level courses, Principals Courses, ASL courses and non credit courses; however, it does apply to the BEd in extension.
FOR STAFF MEMBERS: If the course is scheduled during normal working hours, the employee must provide the Director, Human Resources and Employee Relations, with a letter outlining how he/she will make up the time missed from work. The maximum allowable time away from work is five (5) hours per week.
In order to avoid any confusion during the registration process, staff members wishing to take advantage of this policy must submit a completed application form to the Human Resources Office prior to registering.
