Tenure-Track Position in Anthropology
 
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Nipissing University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Anthropology at the Assistant Professor level, commencing July 1, 2018, subject to final budgetary approval.
 
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Anthropology.  Evidence of excellence in teaching at the university level and a promising research agenda are additional requirements. Candidates with expertise in Indigenous-state relations, global migration and development, and/or the history and theory of anthropology are encouraged to apply, though we welcome applications from all fields.  Successful candidates will be expected to teach courses in anthropological theory, qualitative research methods, language and culture, and in areas of their research expertise.  The successful candidate will also be expected to supervise students in our Applied Social Research graduate program.
 
Review of applications will begin on November 15, 2017, and will continue until the position is filled.  Interested individuals should submit electronically a cover letter outlining their teaching and research interests, a curriculum vitae, a teaching dossier, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation (one addressing teaching) to:
