"My professors at Nipissing have been very encouraging and inspiring. Because of the small classes, most professors are on a first name basis with their students and they are always helpful if we have any questions or concerns. It’s a great feeling when you see your professor in the hall or around town and they instantly recognize you and you can have a talk about class or about school work." - Alicia Mossington, 4th-year Criminal Justice student
* The Globe & Mail has identified the following as "Small" Canadian Universities: Grant MacEwan University, Lakehead University, Laurentian University, Mount Royal University, Nipissing University, Saint Francis Xavier University, Saint Mary's University, Thompson Rivers University, Trent University, University of Lethbridge, University of New Brunswick - Fredericton, University of Ontario Institute of Technology, University of Prince Edward Island, University of Toronto - Scarborough, University of Winnipeg, Vancouver Island University
